Results of the parent questionnaire about Alver Valley Schools- Thank you and Feedback

Dear Parents and Carers

Last term, we issued a parental survey to help us find out what you think about Alver Valley, what we do well and also if there is anything you think we could improve.

Firstly, we would like to say a big thank you to all of you who took part in the survey.  It has been very pleasing to hear some of your positive comments and we are glad that so many of you are happy with your child’s school experience.  It was also interesting to hear some of your suggested improvements.

We would like to share some of the comments we received and also address some of the improvements you suggested, as we have taken steps to action some of these already.

We hope you find the information useful and informative and we look forward to further comments you may have, so we can make Alver Valley the best it can be.

Yours sincerely

Jill Roseblade

Executive Headteacher

Here are some of the positive comments made…

The progress with my daughter’s speech has been absolutely amazing in the last 6 months, I no longer have any concerns at all.  We are very happy.

My child had a few problems with behaviour when he joined nursery, but working alongside the nursery staff we have nipped this in the bud.  Thank you.

Office staff are very welcoming and friendly and the teachers always make time for the parents.

I feel as though some parents need to stop putting the school down and actually appreciate all the hard work the teachers are doing.  I for one, am extremely happy with the progress of my children.  Thank you.

Here are some of your suggested improvements and how we are tackling them…

Although there were no specific comments about behaviour, we will be sharing with you in a subsequent letter, what the staff and children have been doing to make Alver Valley a success.

Although there were no comments regarding behaviour. (The school deals effectively with unacceptable behaviour and has high expectations of the children) we feel that we need to share with you some of the work we are doing to improve this.
