We all love to curl up with a good book at Alver Valley Schools, but we really need your help to transform the Junior School library helping us to make it a warm, welcoming, inspiring and comfortable place for all. You have already shown us how creative you can be in our pirate drawing competition and in the Alver Valley Art Challenge, so here is another chance to use your imaginations and get creative, Alver Valley!
We’d like you to have a go at creating a design to make our library an amazing reading space. You could create a design for the whole library, or something that you’d like to see in there, maybe bookcases, seating or a display. You might want to think about themes you might want for your library: space, animals, forests, or something else? It’s completely up to you!
The competition is open to everyone from across our schools, from Nursery to Year 6. We are going to award prizes for the top entries. Of course, the winning designs will also influence the redesign and so this could be your first makeover project coming to life in your school!
You could draw, paint or make a model of your design – the possibilities are endless. The competition closes on 2nd June and judging will take place after this date. Entries can be dropped in at the school office marked clearly with your name and class or photos emailed to Mrs Lockwood: [email protected] with library competition in the subject line. Special book box prizes will be delivered to you at school if attending, or at home if that is where you are, directly from the wonderful Lee-on-the-Solent Bookshop.
Time to get creative, Alver Valley – we can’t wait to see your designs.
