The Alver Valley Arts Council are busy making plans for our whole school art project on climate change. For our project we are particularly thinking about the impact of climate change on our oceans, and about all the fabulous life that can be found in our seas.

More to follow about how classes and groups will be able to get involved, but for now we are excited to launch our whole school Art Competition!

Your entry can be in the form of artwork, including painting, drawing, pastels, photography, collage or sculpture or a combination of styles. It needs to be something related to the sea and or climate change. You may prefer to write a poem or create a piece of music. The options are endless, but we do encourage you to reduce, reuse and recycle ♻️ as you create as much as possible.

You could focus on a sea creature, a scene, or something that communicates the message of taking care of our seas and oceans.

The best entries will feature in our virtual online gallery alongside the in-person gallery submissions. Some entries may also make it into the in person gallery, and the competition winners will be awarded prizes of art supplies. The competition will be running over the Easter holidays so you have plenty of time to work on your entries.

We look forward to seeing (or hearing) your entries! Competition entries should be brought into school by Friday 29th April.
