School As a fully accredited Forest School,  learners have regular opportunities to achieve whilst developing confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in our very own woodland  environment. Examples Our
Schools Alver Valley Schools are set in extensive grounds close to the Alver Valley Country Park in Gosport. Every key stage has it's own large play equipment as well as a very large grassed playing field and a newly refurbished all-weather sports ground.
Parents and Carers, come along to our next Empower Parents and Carers, come along to our next Empowerment Approach Workshop on Friday 6th February to find out more about how we are using The Empowerment Approach tools in school and what you could try out at home. This time our focus will be: ‘Powerless and Empowered Positions’ and ‘Speak Up for Better’. Speaking personally I think these two tools can support us as adults to see things differently as much as they can the children! I will share how we are using these tools when we support children to reflect on their words and actions to help them to engage and not become defensive. I will also share how with ‘Speak Up for Better’ we can communicate our message clearly and teach children to do the same whilst supporting and teaching the skill development of Empathy. Everyone is welcome.

What a fabulous festive last week of term we have What a fabulous festive last week of term we have had here at Alver Valley Schools. The junior school performances of Wraps Like an Elf were brilliant and we are still singing the songs around school, scroll to hear a quick burst! Today we started the day with the person in red welcoming children to school. End of term celebrations have been happening across the schools and in Nursery the parents came along for their Christmas Decorations sessions. Today was the Alver Valley Schools’ Christmas Lunc Today was the Alver Valley Schools’ Christmas Lunch. A big thank you to the kitchen team who all worked super hard preparing our festive feast. Today Mrs Robinson took the Alver Valley Digital L Today Mrs Robinson took the Alver Valley Digital Leaders to the Apple Store in Southampton for a masterclass in making emojis using Procreate. Children learnt the basics of this digital art application and then put those skills into practice to design their own emojis. At the end of the session the children who wanted to do so had their artwork displayed on the giant wall for all to see. What a fabulous day in Year R today. While out on What a fabulous day in Year R today. While out on our welly walk we spotted some animals hiding in the woodland. The children recognised some of the characters from the story of the Gruffalo. Never for a minute did we suspect that a real Gruffalo was hiding in the woodland. Imagine our surprise when we found the Gruffalo in our fire circle. We gathered and listened to the story and the Gruffalo joined in!
