You may have noticed a new logo appearing on our school website, showing that Alver Valley Schools are working towards an Arts Mark Award. Along with prioritising Reading, Writing and Maths, you will already know that the Arts are central to our curriculum design at Alver Valley Schools.

We want to celebrate and further develop the Arts over the coming months, so we will be working with our newly established Arts Council to help us champion the Arts in school.

The Arts Council will take part in meetings where they will help to influence Aarts provision and whole school projects. They will be invited to go on some Arts visits representing the school, and also learn some new skills as they take part in some Arts workshops over the year.

If your child is interested in joining the Alver Valley Arts Council please request an application form from Mrs Lockwood, or the school office, when the next application window opens in September. More information will be shared in our school newsletters.

Please also keep visiting this page to see latest updates from the Arts Council.
