At the Alver Valley Schools, we use the Philosophy for Children (P4C) approach to teaching and learning, to help children to develop into effective, critical and creative thinkers and to take responsibility for their own learning in a caring and collaborative way across the wider curriculum. We do this by providing practical ways of developing good thinking, questioning and communications skills.
We have been accredited with the Bronze Award by SAPERE (The Society for the Advancement of Philosophical Enquiry and Reflection in Education) in recognition of the excellent P4C work being done across both schools.
