Schools Alver Valley Schools are set in extensive grounds close to the Alver Valley Country Park in Gosport. Every key stage has it's own large play equipment as well as a very large grassed playing field and a newly refurbished all-weather sports ground.

What a fabulous festive last week of term we have What a fabulous festive last week of term we have had here at Alver Valley Schools. The junior school performances of Wraps Like an Elf were brilliant and we are still singing the songs around school, scroll to hear a quick burst! Today we started the day with the person in red welcoming children to school. End of term celebrations have been happening across the schools and in Nursery the parents came along for their Christmas Decorations sessions. Today was the Alver Valley Schools’ Christmas Lunc Today was the Alver Valley Schools’ Christmas Lunch. A big thank you to the kitchen team who all worked super hard preparing our festive feast. Do you remember the ‘Name the USV’ challenge? The Do you remember the ‘Name the USV’ challenge? The children of Alver Valley Schools were set the exciting challenge of thinking of a name for a brand-new Unmanned Surface Vessel by Mr Corless, our Chair of Governors. The USV is being trialled before being set to work on a renewable energy project to assist with surveying prior to installation and expansion of a new offshore windfarm. The vessel needed a name to be registered with the coastguard and harbour master. The results from the vote were counted, the name picked and today the children whose ideas were shortlisted had the amazing opportunity to go along and visit the vessel to see part of the trial at Trafalgar Wharf in Portchester. We had the best time and wanted to share a little taste of the day with you all. Well, that’s a wrap! The Alver Valley Schools Perf Well, that’s a wrap! The Alver Valley Schools Performance of ‘Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’ was a roaring success. The whole cast of children - from actors, singers and dancers - all played their part and were simply brilliant. Children from across the junior school performed with full lights, stage, sound and costumes. A huge well done to the children, and thank you to Mrs Edge and her team for all of their hard work. These creative opportunities inspire broader horizons and give children another outlet to shine. We can’t wait for the next! Year 4 had a brilliant time visiting Farmer John a Year 4 had a brilliant time visiting Farmer John at his working dairy farm this week. Ruth from the County Trust and Farmer John worked with our teachers to provide a fabulous learning experience for the children who visited on 2 separate days this week. Everyone learnt so much, and the adults and children came back to school talking non-stop about everything they had seen and done. Thank you all at South Stoke Farm and The County Trust.
